Two-line license plates for trucks or off-road vehicles

In Germany, special license plates are used for trucks (trucks) or some off-road vehicles that meet the special requirements and regulations for road traffic with heavy commercial vehicles.
Truck license plates have a larger format than normal vehicle license plates. They are usually rectangular (340 / 280 mm x 200 mm) and can be one or two lines, depending on the number of characters in the combination.
Truck license plates have black lettering on a white background.
Truck license plates often contain additional information that is specific to trucks. This includes information about the maximum permissible total mass of the vehicle, the country of origin license plate and the abbreviation of the registration district.

Bicycle rack license plate

The license plate for the bicycle rack is a follow-up license plate. The bicycle rack is equipped with the same license plate as the vehicle used to transport the bicycle.
The bicycle carrier plate is merely a duplicate and has the same combination of numbers and characters and ensures the unambiguous visibility of the car registration plate.
If you don't just use the bike rack for one car, you will need several license plates for one bike rack, which you can change depending on the vehicle you are driving.

Vintage license plate

In Germany there are special license plates for vintage vehicles, which are referred to as H license plates. The H license plate stands for "Historic Vehicle" and identifies vehicles that have reached a minimum age of 30 years and are in largely true-to-original condition.
In order to receive an H license plate for a classic car vehicle in Germany, certain requirements must be met. In addition to the minimum age and the original condition of the vehicle, this also includes criteria such as maintaining the historical appearance, the originality of the vehicle technology and the professional execution of restoration work.
It is important to note that an H license plate is not automatically issued in Germany. The vehicle owner must submit an application to the responsible registration office and present the vehicle to an assessment by an expert. This checks whether the vehicle meets the required criteria and, if the result is positive, prepares a report that is required for registration with an H license plate.
It is advisable to find out in advance about the exact requirements and process of H license plate registration from the local registration office or a classic car association, as the regulations and procedures can vary slightly.

Electric license plate

In Germany there are special license plates for electric and hybrid cars called "E license plates". These license plates are used to identify vehicles with electric drives.
In order to obtain an E-license plate, the vehicle owner must submit an application to the local registration office. As a rule, certain requirements must be met, such as proof that it is an electric or hybrid vehicle.

Season license plate

In Germany it is possible to register vehicles with so-called seasonal license plates. These special registration plates allow vehicle owners to use their vehicles only for a certain limited period of the year, while they are out of service or deregistered for the rest of the year. This can be useful, for example, for convertibles in summer, motorcycles in motorcycle season or motorhomes in holiday season.
When applying for a seasonal license plate, the vehicle owner must specify the desired validity period. This can be between two and eleven months and must be determined in advance.

Vom Bestelleingang bis zur Prägung Ihres Autoschildes vergehen oft nur wenige Minuten. Nach der Herstellung Ihres Nummernschildes wird Ihre Bestellung in unsere Versandabteilung weitergeleitet. In Abhängigkeit zu der gewählten Zahlweise erfolgt der Versand unmittelbar oder direkt nach dem Zahlungseingang.

Wie wird mein Autoschild hergestellt?

Die Herstellung eines geprägten Kfz-Kennzeichens erfolgt im Wesentlichen in zwei Schritten:

• Die Prägung Ihrer Kennzeichennummer oder Ihres Wunschkennzeichens

Hierbei wird eine Prägepresse und sogenannte Prägewerkzeuge / Klotzwerkzeuge verwendet. Mittels der Prägewerkzeuge wird Ihre Kennzeichennummer gelegt / gesetzt. Anschließend wird ein Kennzeichenrohling eingelegt und die Werkzeuge mit dem Kennzeichenrohling in die Presse für Autoschilder eingeschoben. Der Prägedruck der Presse sowie die Prägewerkzeuge sorgen nun für eine Prägung der Kennzeichennummer bzw. Ihres Wunschkennzeichens in den Kennzeichenrohling.

• Das Einfärben des geprägten Autoschildes

Bei diesem Vorgang wird der erhabene Rand sowie die geprägte Kennzeichennummer bzw. Ihr Wunschkennzeichen eingefärbt. Hierzu wird das Schild in eine Heißprägemaschine für Nummernschilder eingelegt. Die Prägemaschine arbeitet mit Druck und einer Temperatur von ca. 200 Grad Celsius und überträgt die „Farbe“ von einer Heißprägefolie auf die erhabenen Bereiche Ihres Schildes. Selbstverständlich ist die Heißprägefolie für Nummernschilder in verschiedenen Farben verfügbar und Ihr Kennzeichen kann in den Farben schwarz, rot oder grün eingefärbt werden.
